The Asbys love books to a most ridiculous degree.
When we chose our forever city, we landed in Portland, OR, where not only does our massive library have a magical bronze tree with characters carved into it (I kid you not), but we also have Powell’s Books, which covers an entire city block, making it the largest independent bookstore in the world.
While I was chatting with a librarian about the book desert that is my hometown in rural East Texas (no bookstore, no public library when I was there), he chuckled and said, “Well, that explains a lot.”
I was pushing my wheels below, as I do every week on library day.
We Asbys have read literally thousands of books and would love to share how these stories have affected our story, recommend beautiful books to other readers, and, well, give me another excuse to turn down that PTA position, because, you know, I have a blog.
Welcome, and happy reading.
